Ballina Swim School understand the needs for private lessons from time to time. We encourage swimmers to participate in a group environment where they can watch other swimmers and develop their swimming with positive interaction as a class.
Private lessons can be facilitated in classes with lower ratios teacher to swimmer numbers 1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 . There are many dynamics of private lesson participants, for example you could have siblings that are a similar age or ability, a couple of friends, or just a solo swimmer.
Why would my swimmer need private lessons?
Private lessons have their place in learn to swim programs and there are many positives to privates.
- Some swimmers are very quiet and get lost in group environment and benefit from private swim lessons.
- Some are having trouble consolidating their skill set, and a few privates can assist
- Swimmers with other abilities
The alternative to private lessons
Ballina Swim School is very conscious of the costs of private’s, and recommends two lessons per week instead of private lessons for a majority of swimmers. The other option is to participate in intensive blocks of swimming to develop skills in a short period of time.
